Limoges boxes are hand crafted by artists from the Limousine region of France. Once the porcelain is has been fired and has finished its time in the kiln, it is hand painted. A hinge and clasp are added to create the finished product. Limoges box collectors usually look for a back-stamp to prove its authenticity.
